Day 2 of Kingfisher Premium Chennai International Fashion Week was an ode to fashion
The second day of the Kingfisher Premium Chennai International Fashion Week (Kingfisher Premium CIFW) saw some splendid cut works, vibrant colours while the other sequence had the same in more gentish colours.
First on the ramp was Lawman Pg 3 with his collection for men Lawman Pg3 and Lawman Chica, the jeans collection for women. The highlight of this show were the various patent lines which were Y-Fi – the never before stitch, Vertebrae – stitch and wash and Emboss – the mark of a stitch. This was truly a denim experience with a difference.
Next on the ramp was renowned designer Richa Goenka with her collection which she created in association with Hung-over. The collection comprised of two sequences of menswear. The first sequence saw a lot of casual, fun, lively tees in vibrant colours while the second sequence showcased the same in more masculine colors. Her women’s wear, inspired by Mother Teresa was called AGNES ACCENT which was an all white line comprising of gorgeous western and indo western ensembles.
Kochi based designer Hari Anand called the curtains on day 2 with his collection GLOBAL TRAVELLER. His collection presented a look that combined technical performance fabrics with practical fabrics and details. Colors were replaced with neutrals, black and white. The use of Batik printing tech was subtly used which gave his collection a safari feels.
Commenting on the occasion, Gurpreet Singh, General Manager, Marketing, United Breweries Limited said, “Kingfisher Premium is synonymous with urban lifestyle and fashion is an integral part of it. For the first time ever we have taken up the title sponsorship with a fashion week and hence the Kingfisher Premium Chennai International Fashion Week is close to our hearts. This is an attempt to reach out to the fashion aficionados of Chennai and be able to ring in the Good Times experience.”
