Forthe elections of Tamil Film Directors Association for the year 2011-2012 slated for 19 June, we decided to face the elections with Bharathiraja as the president and a few us including directors and assistant directors chose to contest for other posts. Director Ameer and a team of directors chose to contest the elections against us.
At such a crucial juncture, keeping in mind that there was no difference of opinion among directors, filkmmakers and senior members of the association K S Ravikumar and P Vasu took all steps to ensure that both the teams meet and sort all their differences and fight as one team.
Thanks to their efforts, we have sorted out all differences and it was decided that Bharathiraja would fight for the post of president and Ameer for the post of general secretary in one team. Jananathan will contest for treasurer.
Having worked for the welfare of the directors for a long time, I am elated at the developments. I sincerely thank K S Ravikumar and P Vasu for helping us ort out all
differences.
