From our first steps in 2007 when Shriya Saran was on the cover to our latest issue with Vikram and Anushka on our cover, the magazine has come a long way in look and feel. We are very proud to say that Galatta Cinema is a one of its kind movie magazine that caters to South Indian Cinema. The magazine has been associated with some of the biggest and best films of the last couple of years and in keeping with this tradition, we have worked with UTV to release this special Deiva Thiirumagal Special Issue.
Galatta Cinema had also always been lucky for the movies that it’s been associated with:
✔ Some of the movies that we have featured in our magazine, we are most honoured that two of Superstar Rajinikanth's biggest hits Sivaji: The Boss and Enthiran were featured in Galatta Cinema
✔ Another high point was having the Oscar winner A.R. Rahman on our March 2009 issue
✔ In our previous issue we joined with PeTA to promote their adoption campaign. Trisha graced the cover of this special issue
✔ With changing technology Galatta Cinema has moulded itself to be part of this change. From being available of Apple app store and OVI stores, the magazine i also available on the Android platform. Galatta Cinema can also be read on the iPad.
✔ Galatta Cinema and its archives can now be downloaded on all mobile devices through the Magzter global magazine store.
All through this journey, the magazine has had a great team which has worked day in and day out to get every issue on the stands. Of course, the support from the film industry has also been overwhelming.
This Special issue, with 100-plus pages, has many special features and interviews:
✔ An exclusive tete-a-tete with the Deiva Thiirumagal team for the cover story
✔ Interesting trivia about the making of Deiva Thiirumagal
✔ On locations pictures and anecdotes
✔ A special feature on upcoming Telugu movie releases
✔ Exclusive interviews with Ganesh Venkataraman, Piaa Bajpai, Amala Paul and Krishna
✔ And of course all the regular sections like G! Spot, Now and Next, Key Notes, B Town Buzz, Wild West, Climax and more...
Hundreds of crowd gathering at the function, many asked interesting questions with Vikram. On fans request, Vikram performed as Krishna in front of huge applause. One enthusiastic die hard fan of Vikram put him in a deep trouble by asking a "Remo Kiss". Vikram very much disappointed when he identified the die hard fan who asked "Remo Kiss" was a "guy". If it was a girl he assured that he would ve given 10 Remo Kisses in a split second and simply passed it to Sakthi Girish (Plz do not get confused whether she would ve given or not)
Deivathirumagal would be the UTV 's first release after Dhananjayan taking over the charge of its south business head. Director Vijay and his team proved that it was the worthy decision of Dhananjayan. Yes Dhananjayan is the first luckiest person to watch Deivathirumagal and stunned after watching Chiyan Vikram's mindblowing performance as Krishna in DT and of course everybody has done a great job in DT. The one and only most demanded Santhanam has also done a fabulous performance and always talking about DT with his friends and co stars.
As a result the duo Vikram and Vijay decided to do movie again.
Catch Krishna on DT on 15th July, an another Deivathirumagan's Birthday.
